I knew I was going to be a designer since I was a child learning to use my mom’s sewing machine. What I did not anticipate were all the other events and influences that would inspire me to become the designer I am today. After earning an undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University, I interned at Zac Posen, followed by design positions at Peter Som, Yigal Azrouel, Coach and Ann Taylor. I moved to New York City to become a designer and that’s exactly what I did for almost 13 years. My love of science, product and creation led to the 2010 launch of Celestial Buddies, LLC, a line of educational plush space toys. My plush Earth recently gained worldwide attention when SpaceX launched it to the International Space Station. In my free time I enjoy riding my bike in the Portland hills and training for and competing in marathons and long course triathlons.
